PESTGO
Frequently
Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q.1. What is PESTGO?
Ans.
PESTGO is an inert Bird Deterrent Gel suitable for preventing the colonization
of most of birds like feral pigeons, crow, parrots, starlings, sparrows etc.
Q.2. How does PESTGO works?
Ans. PESTGO is in the form
of a gel which when applied creates an unstable surface unacceptable to birds
& thus deters their presence.

Q.3.
Does PESTGO is toxic or non-toxic?
Ans. The product is totally harmless
to birds and human beings alike, as it is non-toxic and odourless. PESTGO
is inert and contains no poison so no damage is done to birds that may momentarily
touch the surface through the process of discovery. Furthermore, they can not
get stuck to the material.
Q.4. On which surface the PESTGO can
be applied?
Ans. On all surfaces PESTGO can be used as it has no limitation
of use can be applied to all surfaces whether metalic, concrete, angled, flat,
rough or smooth.
Q.5. How much quantity is required?
Ans.At 3mm
thickness, 3 ltrs of PESTGO gel will cover an area of approximately 1 sq.
metre + 10%.
Q.6. In which industry it is useful?
Ans. PESTGO
has particular value in pharmaceutical and chemical plants, food processing factories,
Textiles, Automobile, Electronics, Paper, Tyre, Oil Industries airports, aircraft
maintenance areas, Army Workshops sensitive defence establishments, Railway Sheds
and workshops, communication system, hotels and highrise Buildings, where bird
droppings can cause untold damage. Bridge tiles, Chimneys, Copings, Ledges, Rails,
and many other areas where pigeons and other birds may roost are potential sites
for PESTGO treatment.
Q.7. What are the properties of PESTGO?

Ans.
a) PESTGO has no limitation of use, for it can be applied to
surfaces whether angled, flat, rough or smooth as its mass remains consistent
and static over a temperature range of (-) 30 degree C to (+) 120 degree C.
b) PESTGO is water repellent, insoluble and immiscible and can be
considered as a water proofing agent to surfaces, thereby preventing such conditions
as frost damage, moss growth etc.
c) PESTGO is colourless when
applied and merely gives a sheen to the surface covered.
Q.9. Is there
any pretreatment required before application.
Ans. Surface to be treated
should be cleaned of debris, loose flakes, bird droppings, general dirt to expose
firm surfaces. 3 Litres of PESTGO will totally cover an area of approximately
1 sq. metre (say 11sq.feet), or two square metres if applied in 1.5" strips. However
application in 1.5" strips form is advisable only if nature of site and gravity
of bird problem allows.
Q.10. How to apply PESTGO GEL?
Ans.
A brief detail of the method of application i.e. how to apply this material is
given below which comprise the following steps:

a) Clean the surface where PESTGO is to be applied and make the surface
dust-free.
b) Apply the sealant first evenly on the surface and let
it completely dry out for atleast 60
minutes. It will increase the bonding of PESTGO GEL with the surface and
subsequently the performance of PESTGO GEL. Please note that the sealant
is to be applied only on porous surfaces like brick, concrete, cemented or filed
surfaces. The ratio of Sealant to PESTGO GEL is one Litre of sealant for
4 Ltrs of PESTGO GEL.
c) On the surface where the area is cleaned,
now apply PESTGO GEL evenly maintaining a layer of approx 3 mm with the
help of a small iron patti or scrapper (small rectangular handy piece of metal
generally used by painters). ON METAL SURFACES LIKE ANGLE IRONS, TRUSSES ETC.
SEALANT IS NOT USED.
